Man I was holding off on spoilers for MONTHS until the holidays when I could get this game, and I only beat it in the beginning of the year and well…HOLY SHIT I didn’t know I needed existentialism in my funny little platformer- Gameplay is INSANELY solid, like honestly some of my favorite platforming controls I have ever used! Music is top notch as well!

Paper Mario:
Man this was such a charming game! Yes I beat the original Paper Mario on N64 before The Thousand Year Door lmao. Loved the partners even if they have substantially less dialogue than their analogues in TTYD do. The Badge System has ALWAYS been solid I can say as much. Can’t wait to play the next game in my backlog!

HOLY SHIT I CAN’T BELIEVE I DIDN’T PLAY THIS GAME SOONER THIS IS A MASTERPIECE!! I SUCKED MAJOR ASS AT IT AND DIED A LOT BUT I KEPT LOVING IT!! Anytime I died, it NEVER felt like my fault! HOLY FUCK THIS MOVIE WAS SO GOOD!!! Not as solid as the first movie, but I loooooved the focus on the writing even more! I couldn’t even tell when the movie was gonna end until that big twist! So awesome!

I put off putting this on the list since truly I just watched a friend of mine play through the games but I enjoyed it too much to not put it on here EVER, even if we did the third one like, a month ago oops. Either way I loved the characterization! Games are good! Loved the logic puzzles!!!

Pretty nice film! I mean obviously not earth-shattering or anything but I did like all the nods to the games and all that stuff. I seriously can’t wait for the Knuckles spin-off and third movie! :D

Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling:
MAN THIS WAS A GOOD GAME! It just felt like the Paper Mario games, but better in some places. Of course, it’s a different kinda vibe because it’s not Mario and all that jazz, but I wasn’t expecting certain plot details, especially in the side content. I still got plenty of questions, but I am fine if they never get answered. I’ll just keep on wondering.

Mega Man ZX:
Man, I owned this game since I was like, 7 or 8 years old but I never got really far, but as part of my sorta-binge through the rest of the mega man games I own but haven’t played, I was really excited to finish this! And man, does it have one of the worst maps in a metroidvania, it’s not really helpful in showing you where to go when you pull it up. But otherwise, the boss design is as tight as ever, even if it’s still somehow easy to cheese. On to ZX Advent!
